DeAgostini Car and Magazine Sets Collection

Soviet and Russian Series

Welcome to my newest addition, the DeAgostini Diecast Car and Magazines collection of Soviet and Russian vehicles. In February 2009, Chinese maker DeAgostini started to put out this wonderful new collection. It includes many old Soviet cars and vans. Each vehicle model comes with a beautiful full-color magazine called Avto Legendi (Legends of Autos) that shows off that particular model's details and discusses its creation, variants, roles in movies, etc. It has wonderful, sharp detail photos of many areas of the vehicle. Each magazine has the series number (Moskvitch 407 is #1). This series sets are limited world-wide and each set is only produced for 2 weeks. The older sets are already hard to find. The models come inside clear blister packs which have to be cut in order to take the model out. If you carefully cut the bottom on 3 sides (letting the 4th side act like a hinge), you can make the blister pack re-usable, like a box. Or you can display the car without ever taking it out. DeAgostini is affiliated with iST Models and their products are very beautiful and true to scale. The colors are rich and realistic. The paint quality is very good. They have full interior detail, chrome parts, rubber tires, spinning wheels, mirrors, windshield wipers, manufacturer emblems and more. The bottoms are marked in Russian language with name of model and manufacturer. All the cars are metal diecast with plastic components. I have listed the whole series that is known so far.
