ABOUT MEMy name is Robert and I have been a collector of Russian / Soviet models for over 30 years. The first model in mycollection was a gray-color Moskvitch 426, received in 1976 as a present. My second model was a red VAZ 2102 wagon and my third model was a light brown Moskvitch 403 with opening doors (of course). I fell in love with the hobby and have been a collector ever since, and my collection has grown considerably over the years. I now live in the USA. After working in the advertising and display industry I am now a massage therapist. I also like to build military models, especially WW2 tanks. I am hoping to add a page with my 1:35 scale military models soon. ABOUT CAR MODELS Through out the decades I have witnessed the quality of some models from Russia and other former Republics deteriorate with the fall of Communism in the late 1980's, and some factories have stopped the manufacturing of diecast models altogether. But luckily for
collectors, 1/43 models are still being manufactured in
the former USSR. In fact, although quality of factory
models had seen a decline, handbuilt models are seeing a
resurgence in quality, with demand for these models going
up as collectors are realizing the beauty and scarcity
of these 1/43 scale models. Also, some foreign companies are now making Russian and Soviet models. Please come back

ABOUT RUSSIAN 1/43 SCALE AUTOMOBILEI am pleased to show the many hundreds of models that are either available today, out of production, hard to get, or have been produced in limited quantities and are very rare. My goal is to list Russian / Soviet models by manufacturer, with descriptions, and photos of each. This site will attempt to let collectors complete their collections, or to at least continue building them! Feel free to drop us a line with any questions... I concentrate mostly on 1:43 scale models. My main interest has been in Passenger Cars and Vans including Police, Ambulances, and Fire. But you have the opportunity to look at many different models.
